Gower Ornithological Society

The Gower Ornithological Society was founded in 1956 and has always played an active role in conservation. The Society produces an annual bird report Gower Birds, (the first was produced in 1968), a regular Newsletter and holds monthly Indoor and occasional field meetings.

GOS has always been quite a small society, with current membership at around 100, but has always been active, taking part in various surveys in conjunction with the BTO and WWT etc., and has produced a Breeding Atlas for West Glamorgan and Checklists for the recording area.

To join the Gower Ornithological Society, please contact our Membership Secretary,  Peter Douglas-Jones , or download a membership form.
