Our main function is to produce the annual bird report for the eastern part of the county of Glamorgan [the ‘Eastern Glamorgan Bird Report’], and of course to provide bird-oriented activities for our members, and whenever possible, to be involved with, or instigate, conservation work. Our annual report covers the County Boroughs of Cardiff, Caerphilly [west of the R. Rhymney], Merthyr, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan, which are collectively known by the Club as ‘Eastern Glamorgan’.
This website features a number of online services aimed at making your birding in Glamorgan enjoyable and easy. There are lots of pages that will be useful to anyone with an interest in birds, from the casual birdwatcher to the keenest of birders.
They contain all the info you need to know about the Club and what it does, including our annual programme of events. There are trip reports, photo galleries, information about record submission, the county list and much more.
Just explore and see what you can find.
