It might be. I haven’t spoken to Gwyn about it yet so it’s possible a brief influx occurred here at a some point in the past, with higher numbers? The count on the beach was actually 63 with 22 flying around offshore. My own previous personal best tally from here was 12! There were 2 colour-ringed birds amongst the group that I photographed and posted on the GRC; it’s more of a scenic shot than anything. A green ring on one bird, white on the other but the heat haze was a nightmare while the birds were standing up and the details were impossible to read.
