Sker rocks almost completely submerged at high tide this morning. Nothing special to report, but had good close-up views of the gulls and waders that had been pushed up onto the shingle and near to the coastal path.
7 purple sandpipers, 3 bar-tailed godwits, 2 knot, 17 sanderlings, 8 ringed plovers, 15 curlews and only 7 golden plovers. Lots of turnstones and approx. 150 oystercatchers. Gulls numbered about 200, nearly all herring gulls, apart from 2 l-b-backs and singles of g-b-backed and black-headed.
