On Llanishen at dusk, an apparent hybrid among the 17 tufted ducks on the south pool. Square head, hint of a tuft, large nail, and not much white on under tail coverts, but strikingly chestnut, uniform flanks, so perhaps a few ferruginous genes in there?!
