What was probably the same red kite as seen by Lol at Cosmeston (see previous post) came over Cathays (N Cardiff) at 11:50 and drifted west, enthusiastically escorted by the local gull population! The kite was in quite heavy wing moult.

Hi Rob – I didn’t see anything unusual in the wing formation on the Cosmeston Kite – and given that my sighting was about 40 minutes later than yours it is probably safe to say that we are looking at two different birds (sorry for late reply) – lol
