Lisvane Reservoir

Now that the nights are drawing in, plenty of wintering wildfowl are starting to arrive; 4 eclipse-plumage pochards, 43 tufties, 62 Canadas, 2 mute swans, 7 mallards and 35 coots. 5 live GC grebes and a dead one, floating near the east bank. Odd sight of the day was a green woodpecker flying the full length of the reservoir over the open water, south-to-north. 58 LBBG and 7 herring gulls in the roost but no BH gulls here yet. 2 BH gulls at Roath Park Lake this morning.
