Ha ha, innocent m’lud. Great to see these arctic waders close up – they pretty much ignored me.
PB has suggested I look again at the ‘adult’ – the grey bird whilst appearing lighter and smaller than the two buffy juveniles is also a juvenile that has advanced in plumage to 1st winter when it loses the warm buff colouration.
The older bird was not present with the juvs at 13.00hrs yesterday, it may have come in new with the fresh tide?
They are all juveniles, just variations in plumage.
