Ceri’s Water Rail of yesterday was out and about again this morning. It was in the E lake just off the boardwalk in front of the cafe, feeding around the base of the bushes. No more than 20 ft away and oblivious of me snapping away at it. We’ve seen it here quite a few times but never as bold and never staying long. Today it looked like it was here for the day.

Also the male pintail was on the west lake.
