The differences are very subtle Leah. Have a look at the pix on the rarities committee blog:
http://grcforum.blogspot.co.uk/ This is only the third record for Glamorgan. Chestnut ear coverts, pale eye ring, the culmen [upper ridge of the upper mandible] is straight rather than slightly convex, slightly smaller than Reed Bunting. V unlikely garden bird.
