Here’s a couple of shots of the Egyptian Goose on E lake this morning. Another addition to the various duck exotica seen in the park over the years (such as Red-crested Pochard, Black Swan, Chiloe Wigeon, Ringed Teal, Bar-headed Goose, Mandarin, and Ruddy Duck).

Nice pics John.
Just a note on the status of this species in VC41. All records of Egyptian Goose in VC41 are of unknown origin only. I quote Birds or Glamorgan 1995: “There is no evidence to suggest that individuals from the self-supporting feral population in Norfolk wander far from their adopted home”.
This species isn’t on the Glamorgan A-List I’m afraid, it is in Appendix only. Nice bird all the same.
