Lavernock Point

Seawatch 0815-1115. The undisputed highlight was my first Leach’s Storm Petrel, but there were plenty of other species of interest. Guillemot (1), Great Skua (1), Common Scoter (3), Kittiwake (25+), Gannet (3), Curlew (7), Oystercatcher (18) and a number of Common Gull. Most, apart from the oystercatchers, were heading down channel.

Thanks for posting promptly. Can’t add anything to that – I was just along the path with Lol Middleton! I would have said that there were more Kittiwake but I wasn’t counting. 🙂 Shame I arrived at 08:30 and missed the Leach’s – glad you got a lifer tho’. Had one there some years ago during the Great Leach’s Invasion [just checked my database] – Dec 2006! jeez was it that long ago! We also had 12 Oycs.
