Lesser Scaup now at the knap lake with several tufties as of 15.30 today. The picture below is the best I could get with my phone.

I think that may be the hybrid (probably Pochard x Tufted) judging by the amount of black on the end of the bill.
The Hybrid was on the Knap lake on Saturday and the Lesser Scaup wasnt. Theres a photo of the hybrid on the South Wales birding facebook site.
It’s easy to tell the difference – most obvious is the orange eye of the hybrid.
The drake Lesser Scaup was still on E lake Cosmeston this morning by the cafe boardwalk – I don;t thin it has moved from Cassie for at least 3 days.
