Heol y Cyw

Pleased to see swallows over the garden for first time this year. Also, mistle thrush, song thrush, blackcap, chiffchaff, blackbird, robin, dunnock, wren, blue fit, great fit, coal fit, nuthatch, great spotted woodpecker, green woodpecker, chaffinch, goldfinch, magpie, jay, jackdaw, carrion crow, buzzard, herring gull, wood pigeon, collared dove, pheasant

    I’ve never been to Heol y Cyw, it sounds really nice. That’s a nice garden list for one day! I know Byncethin-Bryngarw.

  2. Hi Paul. Only been here a year myself and loving it. I am very fortunate as ‘garden’ is a bit understated as it includes a mix of paddock, scrub and woodland. Very productive, as you say.

      You never know what will turn up even in more urban areas – my partner had a pair of siskins on her feeders yesterday, which are not to common in Cardiff area, though she does live next to fields and trees on the edge of her large village.
