unusual
i was just out my back garden and i heard a flock of geese flying towards resolven way so i grabbed my binoculars because they were quite high and i noticed they weren’t the usual geese i see flying these ones were qyuite particular!
the underbelly was white and they had black tips on the end of their wings and whilst i kept watching them they decided to take a sharp U turn and head towards Cimla / east brecon way and i caught a glimps and their bodies where completely white and only the wing tips were black ! there were about a dozen of them i seen them flying around 4:30 i dont know if anybody else have seen these but im almost sure they were Snow Geese! is this a common occurrence in wales?

i was asked to help catch a ‘robyn’ from one of the old offices
when i saw t he bird i was very amazed and also my 1st time to see a Black Redstart!! not only that i t was a Female Black Redstart! i couldnt believe it!
it was very stressed, bashing about in the window and frantically flying everywhere i managed to catch it, it was quite underweight and panting!
took it to the canteen and asked the chef to get a box and some bumch of idiots wanted to have a look at the bird and it flew out of my hands and flew inside the false roof where the aircon is 😥
i just hope there is a gap in the actual roof for her to fly out of there was nothing anyone can done im devastated

went to kenfig pool about 4 – 6pm didnt see much other than a snipe at the front of the south hide of the pool first time for me to see a snipe and take a photo of one. there was only 1 there and only viewed once before going back into the reeds.
