A female Eider was at Blackpill at high tide on Friday and Saturday evenings. There were also a couple of Med. Gulls and a Wheatear on Friday.

A Little Egret was on Swansea Beach, moving between Singleton Park and St. Helen’s at 1.15 p.m.

3 or 4 Med Gulls were preening with B.-H. Gulls in Singleton Park in the rain yesterday morning, before they were chased off by a Sparrowhawk. Tawny Owls have bred successfully there again this year. A juvenile Green Woodpecker was in Clyne Woods.

15 Redwings and a Ring-necked Parakeet in Singleton Park. In Clyne Woods was my first singing Chiffchaff of the year, as well as 2 Brimstones and Red Admiral, Small Tortoiseshell, and Peacock butterflies.
