2nd winter Glaucous gull flew N over the reserve towards Mynydd Baeden this afternoon.

Glaucous gull flew east over the road with around 20 Herring gulls at 10:30AM this morning. Looked like the same individual found nearby by darren Coombs in Feb.

An Osprey drifted low NE over the reserve at 14:45, also one Swallow.

The drake Green winged teal showed for approx one minute  at 2PM today before disappearing back into the reeds (PP, CG).

150+ golden plover and 3 pair of Stonechat were the highlights. On the haul road were 2 Puffin corpses and a Kittiwake corpse and another Puffin corpse was on the beach.

Several fleeting flocks of Hawfinch flying around this morning. One flock of 7 birds watched feeding.

Ad Yellow legged gull on the beach but no waders. Fieldfare 21, Redwing 4, Water rail and 350 Wood pigeon over in 3 flocks.Yellow legged gull

A Firecrest was calling but only seen briefly before dissapearing, a single Swallow flew south, 3 Red kite, Peregrine and Goshawk but no Ouzels on the berries yet.

A juv Hobby flew down river past the castle at 11:40am. Just a Grey heron and 4 Teal on the watermill pond.

Juv Whinchat, Tree pipit and male Redstart at Nantyffyllon (PP) and 8 Spotted and 2 Pied flycatcher at Garnwen (PT).

This Pied flycatcher was at Whiteford pines and 30+ Sandwich tern were on the beach there. An Osprey was still present at Wernffrwd.

A walk around the pool this morning produced Common sandpiper 1, Little egret 1, Kingfisher 1 and 30+ Willow warbler in the west pool bushes.
