Goldfinch
Athough we’ve got Nyger seed feeders in our garden (Llansamlet) regularly attended by Goldfinches, I have just watched a Goldfinch feeding on a peanut feeder for about 15 minutes, which I thought was a bit unusual?

Kenfig Saltmarsh
Glenda and I took a walk to Kenfig saltmarsh today from Kenfig industrial estate, on our outward journey there was a Sparrow Hawk harassing a Buzzard, then we saw a Kingfisher on river Kenfig near the railway sidings, near Morfa tip a pair of Stonechats with juveniles, some warblers, which I assume were young Willow Warblers, they looked very yellow with a prominent eye stripe, also flocks of Goldfinch and Linnets , across the bridge we bumped into Mark Hipkin who showed us the Wood Sandpiper on the salt marsh, we returned on the other side of the river (south), were we saw a Kestrel hunting, and we disturbed a Green Sandpiper on two occasions on the marsh pools, and found a Kingfisher again on the river.
