Black redstart seen again this afternoon on the wooden fence by the flats between Cantonian High School and Doyle Court on Doyle Avenue, Fairwater.

Female / juvenile black redstart on the roofs of Cantonian High School at the rear Doyle Avenue entrance 4.20 this afternoon.

Third winter glaucous gull this morning in the same field as the cattle egret on the old Newport Road.  Flew north at 8.50.  Seen later in the fields by Sluice farm.

I met a woman called Carol today who showed me a photo of a female goshawk she saw towards Sluice Farm this afternoon.  It was quite obliging, sitting on a fence post.  There have been reports of an escaped falconer’s bird in the area recently but this bird didn’t appear to have jesses.

Five stock doves on Grangemoore Park this morning at 6.00 am.  Flew west.
