Great views of the 5 Garganey that were at Kenfig Pool yesterday. At least one still around today but the mist is limiting visibility.

The Otter put on a great show at Ogmore Estuary this afternoon.

I was lucky enough to find a Cattle Egret at Kenfig Pool this morning. It initially flew over the Pool for a while then landed on the east shore near the boat house. It then flew over to the south hide and perched on one of the posts for a few minutes before flying back towards the east shore and landing in one of the fields behind the shore. It was not seen after that.

Another great vis mig at Dunraven this morning. Good numbers and good variety of birds. The highlights include Ring Ouzel, 5+ Brambling and Redpoll. Big numbers of Chaffinches, Goldfinches, Mipits, Alba Wags and Linnets.

A very successful vis mig at Dunraven this morning with Paul Roberts. Woodlark and 58 Crossbills the highlights. Also a good passage of Siskin, Linnets, Goldfinches and Alba Wagtails.

Two Wood Sandpipers on the Watermill flood yesterday! Showed well but never came close, hence the record shots.

The Glossy Ibis is still on the Thaw floodplain. Showing well with patience!

Wood warbler found by Dean Bolt at Pant Norton woods. Showed well on occasions and singing lots. Managed a few record shots.

 

 

 

A little tern was at Ogmore Estuary at around 1:15pm. Showed very well for 15 mins then was not seen subsequently.

 

Seen early this morning about 50m down river from the house on the Merthyr Mawr side of the river.
