3 Sand Martins flying over the lake this afternoon, 4.45 – 5.05 p.m. Also on the lake: 18 Tufted Ducks, 2 Mute Swans (maybe nesting on the manmade island), 1 Little Grebe, 1 Grey Wagtail, Mallards, Coots, Moorhens.

On the lake yesterday were 15 Tufted Ducks, 1 male Gadwall trying to mate with a female Mallard, 1 male Wigeon, 1 Little Grebe, 3 Cormorants, Mallards, Coots, Moorhens.

A male Gadwall was a first sighting for me on the lake, following around a female Mallard. A Wigeon was another first on the lake for me a couple of days ago.
