here are some wheatears i have never seen so many wheatears down the beach in ages, hundreds of them along with a handful of skylarks, kestrel, buzzard and a flock of 80 or so goldfinch and managed to see one stonechat, as well had a few curlew, little egret by the river and a heron and a few corvids 🙂

Hi Leah, I think your middle bird is a Whinchat.
Hundreds – are you sure? I saw 5 or 6 Wheatears at Nash Point today and thought I was doing well.
yea there were loads behind the dunes around 3 – 5pm behind intertissue where the pipes are and behind the sand dunes from the navel club, there were 3 on the fence and that was a start before my walk 🙂 most i have seen there in years
