In spite of the weather I had to get out to get the year list underway. There are several Turnstones, and handful of Ringed Plover and a couple of Oystercatchers making the most of whatever was washed up last night, plus Rock Pipit, Stonechat, and a few gulls and corvids.
Happy new year to all, and hopefully, I’ll be back in the summer.
Well done Dave – brave soul – let me know when you’re back and perhaps we’ll run the moth traps again. Looking forward to your Black Guille pics…
Hi Barry
Looking forward to moth trapping again! We are most likely going to be down mid-late August, but I’ll get in touch when I know for sure, in case you guys are around. I did have one Winter Moth on the window on Friday night, but that was it this time…
I’ve posted the best pic of the Black Guille – see my original post. I’ll be sending a report to the recorder as well; my parents have various Birds of Glamorgan books which said the last in the county was in 1995 I think, off Mumbles, so it’s been a while!
Cheers
Dave
