An interesting collection this morning.
Bonaparte’s gull – just the one
Little gull 1 adult and 2 first winter (one with a missing primary)
Med Gull 1 2nd W and 1 1st W
Since there are two Bonaparte’s sightings from this location it would be nice to see what differences there are.
I have seen the bird on two occasions (26th and 31st) attached are the (rather distant) records shots I took.
First two photos from 26th other from today.

Nice one Lol. I missed you yet again – need to get up earlier! I had nice views of the 1 Boneys and the Ad Little Gull which was showing some black on the head, and also a 1stW Med. A bit pushed for time so didn’t spend long enough scanning 2 see the others. Nice to bump in to Chris Hawes, Pete Howlett, Phil B and Gareth Pryce.
Yes I get down there around 8:15 as I give Anne a lift to work two or 3 times each week. Usually gone by 9:30 to Cosmeston. I must confess that the Bonapartes puzzles me. The bird that dropped into Cosmeston some time ago had an obvious grey shawl. The bird I saw on 26th had no shawl and had some dappling of black on rear of head – the start of a hood. The bird yesterday seemed cleaner on the head and no shawl – but it was sunny. Was hoping to find out what the other bird looks like.
Not much chance in the fog this morning !
