  1. The ad.male was in the outer harbour yesterday morning around 10am with the two females in Plas Taliesin. There may only be this solitary this ad.male remaining which comutes between the two sites, though I did see both ad.males the other day.

    1. Saw both birds again this morning. The male on the beach appears to me to be darker grey than the Plas Taliesin bird. In particular, the breast is more uniformly dark grey with a narrow paler vertical line bisecting it. The Taliesin bird lacks this; his breast has a dark grey upper half and a paler grey lower half giving the impression of a horizontal division between the two; his wing patches are also less cleaner white, and overall appears less pristine than the beach bird which also seems more flighty. Any pics welcome to garethpryce1@gmail.com

  2. I think there are 3 males involved. I saw two around Plas Taliesin this morning, one I only had a brief view of (and sadly didn’t get a photo) but would agree that it looked similar to the beach male but with less black around the throat and breast and may have been slightly greyer and don’t think the white wing panels stood out that much. At the same time I photographed the adult male which has been there since November (I’ll post pics of this and the beach bird in a bit) which has a really black throat and upper breast with only thin grey edging to the black feathers on the breast, you really see it as black too not grey like the on the beach bird.
