Apologies for an ooc post, but it does seem quiet at the moment.
Just a bit north of Glamorgan, I found this beauty today. I thought they just popped their heads up now and again!! A very showy Corncrake.

Found by my good friend, Hugh Harrop at Boddam I believe Andy. Amazingly showy Corncrake and a cracking photo too.
Hi Julian, not Hugh today,. I was with Phil Harris. I was expecting to see just a head but this one spent a good 10 mins in full view. Took it from the car at first then got out and it still hung around before it slunk off after a traffic jam built up.
I bumped into Hugh on Monday – he was taking a group on the boat trip round Noss. Small world!
very nice photos…
A small world indeed! Say “hi” to Phil and Rebecca (and Brydon, if you see him) from me. Sorry, I meant that if you saw the Boddam bird, it was found by Hugh a few days ago. Have a great trip. Judd
