Any thoughts on the ID of this gull, seen at Cosmeston this morning? Unfortunately I was late for work and on my way back to the car so couldn’t stick around. I didn’t get to see the legs.

Cracking photo Chris. It’s one of the best shots of an adult Yellow-legged Gull in Glamorgan that I can remember seeing. The photo captures the large, square-headed appearance perfectly.

Many thanks both, this confirmed my suspicions, but I’m not at all confident when it comes to gulls. The photo is heavily cropped, unfortunately, but glad it was sufficient to make an ID.
