Where did you hear that Mike? As you say – sincerely hope they don’t. No doubt it will all eventually be sanitised and prettied up. All the shrubbery by the new path has recently been stripped to the ground [where the Dartford Wblr was sone years ago], no doubt to prepare for yet more building.
This ‘tidying up’ is all ahead of the Volvo round the world yacht event. Shame about all the scrub that’s already been cleared. I heard that some work was to be taking place around the dock and I alerted a contact at CHA about the presence of the martins. They have passed this info on to colleagues who will take this into account. Apparently, footpath realignment and drainage works alongside the dock by Dr Who are due to commence in autumn/winter of this year. This dock was transferred from ABP to Welsh Government a few years ago as part of the Porth Teigr redevelopment project and hence is currently managed by their development consultants Igloo Regeneration http://www.igloo.uk.net/projects/cardiff-porth-teigr. Still think it’s worth people contacting them directly to express our concerns.
