Late WeBS count this morning in the drizzle-

Chaffinch , Grey Heron , House Sparrow , Magpie , Moorhen 9, Swallow ,Wren
Coot 6, Grey Wagtail , Little Grebe 6, Mallard 30, Mute Swan 7, Robin , Woodpigeon

I am still undecided about this bird. It has divided opinions. I managed to get some better photos yesterday evening. The bird is in heavy moult so its flight feathers have a bit of growing to do. The mantle colour is darker than herring approaching yellow legged gull. Opinions welcome.

2 x Raven circling high over the garden Sunday 2nd September. Swallows still with us. Plenty of buzzard activity, up to 3 together. Sparrowhawk, Carrion Crow, Magpie, Herring Gull,  Wood Pigeon, Collared Dove, Blackbird, Robin, Dunnock, Nuthatch, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Coal Tit, Chaffinch, Green Woodpecker.
