There were 27 club members present at the 2026 AGM last night [Tues 19th] which is a good turn out, so many thanks for coming. After the ‘official’ business it was great to see trustee Strinda Davies and chair Jean Haslam present awards to young birders Liliana Tarrant Sneddon and Teilo Rogers. Liliana received the Robert Bradshaw Award and a prize of £250 for her activies and presidency of the Cardiff Unversity Ornithologival Soc, involvement in the BTO WeBS survey for Roath Park lake and for a speech given to the WOS annual conference in 2025.
Teilo Rogers received the Robert Bradshaw highly commended award and a prize of £100 for his involvement with nest box and ringing schemes and survey work.
Alan Rosney’s quiz went down well. Mrs Wilson’s cakes and teas & coffee raised £55.20, the raffle raised £43 and carbon offset monies were £21.
