25-Little Egrets flew from the roost this morning.Also,it seems Magpies are roosting there too.Must have been more than 30 there.

Checked numbers of Little Egrets leaving the island roost at first light.29 Egrets flew out,the first at 7h53 and the last at 8h02.24/12/2014

Checked out the Little Egrets leaving the roost this morning.Only 21 Egrets compared to 31 last month.07h25-07h55.

At first light 31-Little Egrets flew from the island roost.The first left at 07h15 and the last at 07h42.

07h00-07h30 26-Little Egrets flew from the island roost at first light.Also an estimated 800-1000 Redwings in a loose flock flew over in a westerly direction.

Lavernock-2-Peregrines m+f overhead for ages before flying off at great speed to mob a Buzzard.Also;100+Fieldfares
Cosmeston-lots of aliens about;130+Canada Geese and Grey Squirrels seemed to be everywhere!!

At dusk,1-Barn Owl being mobbed by Magpies.Also at least 6-Little Egrets at the island roost.

I have just witnessed Gull behaviour i haven’t seen before.A flock of 20 or so Black Headed Gulls appeared to be flying around and hovering over lake-side trees laden with berries.I was 200yds. away with just bins.They seemed to be actually taking berries,but couldn’t be certain.On reaching my car i got my scope out and eating berries was exactly what they were doing.Has anyone else seen or heard of this kind of behaviour?
