Chaffinches

Good numbers of Chaffinches in the garden today (Nantgarw). Minimum count of 11. Numbers are building. Good to see as numbers of this this species are definitely declining.

Reed Bunting on bird feeder- Nantgarw

On May 23, 2020 By asrosneyIn Sightings2 Comments

Unusual sighting this morning. A male Reed Bunting was feeding in my garden. I have seen one occasionally in winter. The fact that I saw a female a couple of weeks ago might indicate breeding. There doesn’t appear to be suitable habitat nearby though.
