Walking the course boundary tonite.. Med gull in Oxwich (that’s a first for me).. Rock pipit,gbb gull.. And lots of cormorants in the bay.. Its also butterfly city at the moment.. Gatekeepers,common blues,meadow browns,small heaths,skippers….etc etc etc lovelyf

No sign of harriers this morning.. Lots of grey heron,little egret and hirundines overhead

East side of course,along Sandy Lane to bird hospital and return this morning.. Lots of meadow pipits with evidence of breeding.. Kestrel,buzzard,loads of jackdaws,house sparrows and a few rooftop herring gulls… Lots of butterflies and a few dragonflies…

6 chough back on the course this morning.. And a flock of approx 30 linnet

Green woodpecker with 2 young, mistle thrush family party, nuthatch, several jays

Recently fledged raven making a noise.. Must be one of the lighthouse family

Lots of very nicely plumaged linnets this morning giving close-up views from the car

Counted 20 med gulls loafing on the rocks at high tide.. All full black head summer plumage… What a stunning sight

Up to 6 summer plumage med. gulls on the waters edge…

2 female eider still off the pier this morning at low tide

following up on the belated news of waxwings tweeted yesterday.. Looking this morning… Several berry laden trees but only starlings, house sparrows, 20 collared doves, and a lot of dog toilet!

Raft of 20 cormorant right out on the point… No sign of any divers in the bay… Lots of bh gulls loafing.. 2 common gulls… 2 immature kittiwakes.. 4 chough on
the campsite field

 curlew this morning.. 30+ oycs… 2 mistle thrush

no sign of the mandarin… Apart from that all the usual suspects.. Mallard,teal.gadwall,little grebe,mute swans,calling cetti’s,moor hens

 

 

4 redshank,1 curlew,1 kingfisher (yes honestly), 12 cormorant, 1gbb gull, many bh & lbb gulls

100+ gcg’s here this morning along with usual flock of oycs, mixed gulls, 4 bartailed godwits
