2 hours before high tide.. Approx 50 gcg’s on Swansea side…. Large numbers of oycs.. Big dunlin flock.. 4 scoter.. Assorted gulls too far out without scope..

To my surprise there were 2 peregrines on the Tower this morning sitting next to each other..
Mumbles Hill/Bracelet Bay/Blackpill
Mumbles Hill: early this morning.. 5 raven, wheatear,lots of chiffchaffs,2 meadow pippets
Bracelet Bay: 20-30 med gulls mixed in with BH’s and Herring… one ringed YHE8 (white on red) long staying Serbian Bird– been around since 2009.. I also counted up to 20 gannets in the bay fishing
Blackpill: very quiet.. maybe 12 or so Oycs.. lots of BH/Herring/Med gulls.. one ringed 36A6 (white on black)– 2 year old bird from Antwerp.. last seen breeding in Hamburg in May’13… 2 common gulls also seen…
Absolutely no small waders at all which is very surprising…
Fairwood Common/Ilston
Many many swallows feeding over the common (tooo many to count).. I’ve never seen swallows perching on gorse before.. amazing….
Pennard GC – This morning
My First wheatear of the season.. seems earlier than last year.. Also hundreds of hirundines passing through first thing this morning..

lots of ringed plover/sanderling/dunlin
no sign of any terns
Lots of gulls loafing offshore
And many swallows heading south

tawny owl.. giving it real what for outside my bedroom window… fantastic.. Also nothing to sell.. only a bird posting.!!

200+ oystercatchers @ High tide.. along with 20/20 Med/BH gulls.. several young LBB/Herr immature offshore…No small waders at all –> surprised me.
150+ BH gulls on rooftops @ Shops.. with 2 med gulls
