A quite vocal willow tit was along the track from Grovesend to Gorseinon this afternoon which was great to see. My last local record was 2012 so, I’d assumed they might have disappeared locally. Goes to show how easy they are to miss unless calling.
Gower over the last few days… Few long distance migrants ( apart from hirundines) 2 yellow wag at Rhosili, 1 whinchat and 4 wheatear at Loughor bridge .
Great record Chris. I’ll be they are still in the belt of mixed woodland from Fairwood Terrace Gowerton to Waunarlwydd.
Yes, there’s still enough damp woodland/ willow Carr dotted around, just not regularly checked by birders.
