llangenith moors this morning ; not a great deal of migrants, but best was male Hen harrier coming in over the dunes, having a look over the reed bed, then thermalling high N/NE. 1 gropper, only 2 reed warbler, and at least 10 sedge warbler.
cuckoo at Ryers Down.
3 sandwich tern at Wernffrwd.
seem to be plenty of Song thrush around Gower and Gorseinon, not much less than Blackbird numbers in some places
Roughly where was the Gropper Christopher? Some of us are down the van for the weekend.
As you walk from Broughton toward Llangenith, just over the the little hill, 100m or so NE at the edge of the marshy area. Cheers
Nice one Chris, I bet the pulse was racing when you picked up the harrier!
A couple of months ago you wouldn’t think twice, but early May gets the grey matter ticking! Still 2 SEOs showing well upto 10am at Llanrhidian
