Thanks for sharing, Steve. They do nest in a house in that street, the owner invited me to check last year, and I confirmed. I either added to the RSPB SwiftMapper or checked it was already there, I forget which. And of course recorded the nest site as ‘breeding evidence’ in my data which eventually gets to BirdTrack. You can look on SwiftMapper and see the location of the previous nests, then you could try and confirm if nest sites still in use this year?
There are swifts at my end of Fairwater, I have an idea where they are nesting but I think they enter at rear of one of the properties and can’t be observed from the street. And I am unfortunately not free to spend much time checking.
