Jeff curtis has seen 3 bearded tits this morning in reeds left of the main boardwalk.
A pair of Juv Redstars on the dead tree to the left of the boardwalk this afternoon. Also a couple of pochards out towards the pontoon.
66 Ringed Plover by the sailing club slipway on Sully beach this morning shortly after high tide. Easily my highest count on Sully beach in the last seven years. With them 4 Dunlin.
10 Curlew and 35 Oystercatcher on Sully Island at high tide. 43 Turnstone between Sully Island and Bendrick Rock.
At the playing fields 100+ Starling, 20+ Pied Wagtail, 1 Med Gull (Ad, WP) in with 175 Black-headed Gulls, Stonechat. Trickle of Swallows through feeding over the beach and playing fields, and including a few resting briefly on wires.
2 red kites 4 Ravens and a buzzard together between Briton ferry and the metal box
Two red kites over Bridgend designer village mid day. Kingfisher and green sandpiper Sainsburys Penylan Cardiff
1 fem/imm Wheatear W paddock and 30 Goldfinch. Pair of Stonechat in the snipe paddock with 4 Reed Bunting and 2 Mipits. Ad Little Grebe middle of E lake and juv Little Grebe W lake. This was actually posted by me, John Wilson, but I must have been logged in as admin.
Brief walk at Cosmeston this morning. c.40 or so hirundines over the lakes – mainly Sand Martin but also with a few House Martin including juvs. Sub ad Little Grebe W lake. A few Swallows going over but v quiet generally.

GBC trip yesterday in trying conditions produced a very smart Yellow-legged Gull and a Barnacle Goose in with the Canadas. Fly-over Peregrine and Sparrowhawk too
Yellow Wagtail at the Watermill today. 
At least 20 sightings of Green Sandpipers including 4 together today.

5pm. One Mediterranean gull with the black-headed gulls by the boardwalk. Also shoveler, gadwall and kingfisher.

We had a lively and productive monthly Kenfig walk today, with 25 participants. A warm welcome to some new people, good to see the (expert!) young folk, special thanks to those who travelled a long way.
56 species were identified, the highlights being at Sker due to the high tide, where we had close views of Sanderling , Ringed Plover and Turnstone, with Bar-tailed Godwit, Oystercatcher, Golden Plover on the rocks, and a Shag in the water.
